Most of these started as a pain point in my own life that I wanted to fix.

Tapd

March 2025 – Present
Co-Founder & CEO NFC · Focus Hardware + App

Tapd helps people build better habits around their phones through intentionality and accountability. It started as a network of NFC-powered devices across the Union College campus, free for every student, paired with accountability groups for logging focus time. It has since grown to more than 600 users who have logged over 25,000 hours across 100+ groups, and expanded to four campuses beyond Union. Tapd took first place and $20,000 at the Spark Lab business competition.

Freefixtures.com

Sept 2025 – March 2026
Senior Thesis Savings Calculator Energy Efficiency

I turned my senior thesis in Economics and Environmental Science into a public-facing website where home and commercial building owners can calculate the cost and environmental benefits of installing more efficient plumbing fixtures. The work was nominated for best senior thesis and received honors from both the Economics and Environmental Science departments. I presented the research twice, at the Economics Symposium and on Steinmetz Day.

AI Tooling Chrome Extension Teaching

Newtrix helps working professionals learn to use AI effectively. After I shipped Freefixtures, people I had worked with, along with friends and family, kept asking how I had learned to build with AI, so I made a site to help them find the right tools and get better at using them. It has a tool finder that matches you with intuitive options based on the software you already use, a PromptLab that scores your prompts and suggests improvements, and a Chrome extension that pulls prompts from ChatGPT, scores them with Claude, and rewrites them in context. We also offered one on one sessions with me or another college-aged AI builder for people working through a specific problem. The official launch is coming soon.

Ecommerce Design

An exploration into ecommerce. Learning about EBITDA in class, I always thought it sounded like the name of a French athleisure brand. I went looking for EBITDA clothing, found a site selling accounting meme merchandise, and ordered a piece. The quality was bad and the design was tasteless, so I built my own.
