About
I'm Theo Goldman, a founder and problem solver born and raised in Boston. Most of what I do starts with a pain point in my own life, which I then prototype and ship a solution for. A lot of what I build stays internal, for my own productivity and enjoyment, but I have also shipped and grown several projects.
Tapd is a good example of how I think and work. In my first two years of college I spent hours a day in the library, and realized I was spending far longer there than I needed to because my phone kept pulling me away. I wanted a system that would make my phone fit my focus in every space, and track quality time by activity without me having to think about it.
Tapd V1 was a network of NFC-powered devices across the Union College campus, in the library, the gym, and other community spaces. We made it free for every student and built accountability groups for logging focus time. Over 200 of the 2,000 students on campus used the app during the beta, and we have since expanded to four other campuses.
I graduated from Union College in 2026 with a double major in Managerial Economics and Environmental Science. I'm continuing to improve and scale Tapd with a small team, and I'm looking for roles at startups where I can learn and contribute.
